Donor Celebration Event 2018

On Tuesday 20th of February, over 140 members from the UWCSEA donor community came together to celebrate the impact of giving to the College.

Held in the lush surroundings of Hort Park, the annual Donor Celebration event showcased a range of programmes that gifts have made possible such as Solar for Dover, Adopt a Tree, the Rainforest Restoration Project and IDEAS Hub.  With over 70 students (including members of our scholar and boarding community) in attendance, the evening was a fantastic opportunity to engage with those currently living and learning the UWC values.

The art of doodling: Middle School Art workshop with Band of Doodlers

East Middle School Art students recently had a unique opportunity to explore the art of doodling with Singapore-based mural artists, Band of Doodlers. Thanks to support from the UWCSEA Foundation, the East Art Department was able to bring these artists to campus on 25 January for an artist-in-residence workshop.

Philanthropy in Action -Focus on Scholarships 4

Our fourth Focus on Scholarship story explains how a school presentation and a gap year experience inspired Priscila, a scholar from Mexico, to advocate for a fairer world for all.  She is currently Associate Director of Disability Rights International (DRI).

DAVIS-UWC Dare to Dream Programme Launches

In a gesture of trust in the transformative nature of a UWC education, Shelby Davis has announced a major pledge of US$100m over 20 years towards the UWC movement scholarship fund, creating 100 additional scholarships per year. This gift is one of the most significant ever made to support secondary education.
